Based on the requests and feedback received from participants, we have decided to conduct the Grand Finale in Online Mode, as many colleges are currently conducting their internal SIH (Smart India Hackathon) activities.
Kindly ensure that your project is fully functional and ready for presentation before the scheduled time. We encourage all participants to prepare thoroughly for both the live demo and the technical Q&A round with the jury.

Innovate 4 Impact: AI4SDG Global Hackathon 2026 is an elite international-level social impact innovation challenge organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group (SBA31281), in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune.
The event encourages undergraduate students to develop innovative, scalable, and technology-driven STEM solutions that address real-world societal challenges, with a focus on AI for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), healthcare, women's safety, smart technology, and eco-friendly development.
Inclusion Mandate
Open to all UG students across India and outside India. At least one female team member is mandatory inside each group of 2-4 members — because real innovation is inclusive.
Implement solutions using Software, Hardware, AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, Web, Mobile or Social Tech structures.
Shortlisted teams collaborate with industry guides to fine-tune prototype scopes before final judging.
We look for unique architectures that have immediate deployment capability inside underprivileged zones.

Leverage AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, or emerging tech to create intelligent systems addressing industrial or societal challenges.
Pioneering Artificial Intelligence models for smart climate networks, optimized agricultural fields, and accessible literacy modules.
From initial proposal screening to technical progress demos and the grand online showdown.
Submissions evaluated based on Abstract and structured Proposal PPT (7-9 slides). Teams with strong social impact and technical feasibility were shortlisted.
Progress Reports and 5-7 minute prototype showcase videos were thoroughly evaluated. All shortlisted teams have received formal confirmation emails for the Grand Finale.
Conducted in Online Mode on 11th September 2026. Teams present their complete and fully functional project in a 7-minute live demo followed by 3 minutes of rigorous judge Q&A.

All teams advancing to Round 3 have been notified via email. Please check your inbox (including your spam and promotion folders). The email contains your team sequence slot, meeting room link, and final briefing documentation. If your team was selected and you cannot find the email, contact our student coordinators immediately.
